Shravan (Sawan) is running — the month the shastras dedicate to Bhagwan Shiva. Rudrabhishek, Somvar vrat and ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ jaap done in Sawan are held to carry many times their normal fruit, because the month’s lunar energies align naturally with Shiva tattva.
Astrologically, Sawan is also the classic window for pacifying the Moon and Saturn — both connected to Shiva’s grace. If your chart runs sade sati or a Moon affliction, this is your month to act.
