Baglamukhi Shatru Stambhan Puja is conducted with the intention of controlling, subduing or immobilising one’s enemies or adversaries. “Shatru” means enemies and “Stambhan” is the act of paralysing or restraining them.
Maa Baglamukhi — who holds the tongue of the demon in her left hand — is the supreme power of stambhan: she paralyses the harmful speech, plans and actions of adversaries, protecting her devotee.

Maa Baglamukhi Mool Mantra
Purify yourself with a bath and wear clean yellow or saffron clothing. A quiet, clean space is chosen for the puja.
A sacred altar is created — Maa Baglamukhi’s image placed on yellow cloth, decorated with flowers, sandalwood and kumkum.
Meditation on Maa Baglamukhi and invocation of her divine presence with her specific mantras and prayers.
Yellow flowers, incense, fruits, sweets and ghee are offered as symbols of devotion and respect.
The Baglamukhi mool mantra is chanted for the prescribed count with complete devotion.
